Alan Eglinton is a British-born visual artist. He holds a BA Hons in Documentary film studies from the Université Paul Valéry in Montpellier (FR) and the diploma of the French National School of Photography of Arles. He currently lives in Scotland where he teaches photography and runs the Edinburgh Photobook Club. Very often autobiographical, his projects explore the recurring themes of “home“ and “belonging“, through the interplay of photographs and words. His work has been shown at the Rencontres d'Arles (FR) in 2009, at the Galerie Michèle Chomette (Paris, FR) in 2011, at LE BAL (Paris) in 2012, at Le Magasin de Jouets (Arles, FR) in 2013 and at the Biennale de la Photographie de Mulhouse (FR) in 2018. His project Only the fires say was published in March 2018 by Poursuite Editions and exhibited at Galerie Madé in Paris, as part of Photo Saint-Germain 2018.
