Alan Eglinton is an English-born photographer. He holds a BA Hons in Documentary film studies from the Université Paul Valéry in Montpellier (FR) and the diploma of the French National School of Photography of Arles. He's currently based in Scotland where he teaches photography and runs the Edinburgh Photobook Club.
His projects are very often autobiographical and explore the recurring themes of “home“ and “belonging“, through the interplay of photographs and words.
His work has been shown at the Rencontres d'Arles (FR) in 2009, at the Galerie Michèle Chomette (Paris, FR) in 2011, at LE BAL (Paris) in 2012, at Le Magasin de Jouets (Arles, FR) in 2013, at the Biennale de la Photographie de Mulhouse (FR) in 2018. His photobook Only the fires say was published in March 2018 by Poursuite Editions.
