I was born and grew up in the East of England. When I was eleven, my family moved to France, where I lived for the next twenty-six years. I hold a BA Hons degree in film studies from the Université Paul Valéry in Montpellier and an MFA from the French National School of Photography in Arles. I’m currently based in Edinburgh.
I embrace the freedom of juggling with miscellaneous forms of photography and writing, favoring the space of the photo book for their interplay. I’m interested in how my pictures and my poetic-come-diaristic texts may work together (or not) in projects that explore the recurring themes of home, belonging and emigration.
My work has been shown in the Rencontres d’Arles in 2009, at the Galerie Michèle Chomette (Paris) in 2011, at LE BAL (Paris) in 2012 and at Le Magasin de Jouets (Arles) in 2013. It has equally been published in Le Monde, Le Tigre Magazine, The Purple Journal and Der Greif.
I work on personal and commercial projects and run photography workshops across Europe and in East Asia (South Korea, Japan, Taiwan).
