I was born and grew up in the East of England. When I was eleven, my family moved to France, where I lived for the next twenty-six years. I hold a BA Hons degree in film studies from the Université Paul Valéry in Montpellier and an MFA from the French National School of Photography in Arles. I’m currently based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Through the interplay of photographs and writings, my projects explore the themes of home, belonging and emigration. I’m particularly interested in how my pictures and texts may complement or contradict each other in the sequence of a photobook.

My work has been shown in the Rencontres d’Arles in 2009, at the Galerie Michèle Chomette (Paris) in 2011, at LE BAL (Paris) in 2012 and at Le Magasin de Jouets (Arles) in 2013. It has equally been published in Le Monde, Le Tigre Magazine, The Purple Journal and Der Greif. My photobook Only The Fires Say will be published in the spring of 2018 by Poursuite Editions.

I work on personal and commercial projects and run photography workshops across Europe and in East Asia (South Korea, Japan, Taiwan). I equally run the Edinburgh Photobook Club.
